CA Voters Reject Establishment

10 Jun

Some very interesting election results today, reflecting independence and grassroots anti-corporate, ant-politician and anti-party sentiment among the bulk of California voters:

Proposition 14 passes, despite opposition from political parties;

Proposition 15 fails miserably because California voters can’t stomach paying to elect jerks;

Despite $46 million spending fest, (PG&E’s) Prop. 16 goes down;

Voters Defeat Prop. 17, the Mercury Insurance Initiative; Stunning Upset in $16 Million Campaign to Scam California Drivers (my boss, SF City Attorney Dennis Herrera, played a key role in opposing this one)
